About Virginia Meat Packing Co.
Our Story & Philosophy
Virginia Meat Packing Co. is a family-run butcher shop on Centreville Road in Manassas, Virginia. We opened our counter to serve neighbors who wanted meat the way it used to be sold — cut fresh, by hand, from animals raised on real pasture by farmers we know by name.
Every cut in our case comes from whole animals broken down on-site. That means our beef, pork, lamb, goat, and chicken are pasture-raised on Virginia farms that practice rotational grazing, low-stress handling, and never-ever antibiotic or hormone use. When you ask for a ribeye cut two inches thick, we cut it two inches thick. When you need a whole brisket trimmed for the smoker, we trim it the way you like it.
Our chorizo is made in-house from our own pork, seasoned with a family recipe we've been refining for years. We label every cut in both English and Spanish because our customers cook in both languages — and we want everyone to know exactly what they're taking home.
Stop by the counter. We'll show you what came in this week, tell you which farm it came from, and help you pick the right cut for what you're cooking.
